Recognizing these inefficiencies, our client, the refinery giant sought to reimagine its approach to change management.
From Manual Workflows to Automated Operations
In the dynamic landscape of the energy sector, our client, one of the industry leaders recognized the need for transformation within its refinery operations. Facing the challenges of managing change and minimizing the risks associated with manual processes, and security compliance, they embarked on a journey toward innovation and efficiency with us.
Collaborating with EvoluteIQ: Streamlined Change Management Meets Safety Compliance
The EvoluteIQ platform served as the linchpin in implementing a comprehensively intelligent and automated solution, effectively coordinating activities across diverse departments. This collaborative effort encompassed critical areas such as Design and Development, Engineering, Hazops, and more.
Under this innovative system, any proposed Management of Change initiated by a department seamlessly navigated through the approval processes of other relevant departments. This streamlined approach ensured that changes were well-vetted and supported across the organization.
The Design and Development department took the lead in this automated workflow by updating crucial Engineering drawings and distributing them to all relevant departments for meticulous review and approval. Simultaneously, the Technology and Process Safety departments conducted vital Hazops, while service departments were responsible for the careful planning and execution of the proposed changes. Integral to the success of this transformation were several technological components. These included the strategic use of EIQ Process Flows, Data Flows, Event Flows (IOT), and the development of web and mobile front-ends. Additionally, connectors were deployed to establish seamless links with back-end systems, including Oracle ERP and proprietary systems, creating a cohesive and efficient change management process.
